The artist; Dusty Horner please Google Dusty to see all of his other works. I have a few of his original sculptures. About the sculpture, this is the artist original that was used to make the casts for this WDCC. This is the original, true one of one. It is the artist proof.
Dusty and I are good friends, we went to school together, and well after he finished up his time with Walt Disney Art Classics he came back to Rochelle to raise his family. I pledged to never to sell them, well things have changed I need to make a few major repairs to my home.
A bit of tornado damage that was not covered from earlier this year here in Rochelle IL. Dusty will sign what ever certification you would like to have or put together, photos etc. I will be listing a few but not all of the WDCC originals I have, but if there is one that Dusty has done that you are interested in and I do not have it, there is a chance I can trade what I have for it.
Like many artists he hates the thought of these going but is willing to help me out, as friends do. A few quick notes, these are in raw polyclay and were used by the Disney mold maker, so there is some damage, cut marks (for mold making), there is some clay shrink, Dusty gave me extra polyclay to fill in if needed, but I think if it were sprayed with a sealer this would be lessened. I will check with Dusty on that. Also these were pieces that sat in his studio, like the skull of "Nobody Touch Him" Dusty's son scratched into the side of it lightly "your a mean daddy" Dusty cleaned it up some but its there still a little. Also, again, the painted sculpture is for reference only. You can see the size between the original and the cased piece. Very rare to see this, so I just do not know what it should be valued at for sure. Thank you for looking Eric Gruben.
Due to this item being an artist Disney original piece of art work, the return of this item will be conditional. You are getting what you see, you will get all the artist prominence, signatures, your certification documentation, etc.
It will have damage as noted above, due to the manufacturing process, most all of the sculptures made for this type of production are lost forever, as they are often destroyed in the mold making process. That and the mold maker often is directed to destroy them. I can guarantee this is the original on many many levels, as noted above. Lol Dusty has done many artist meet and greets for the WDCC collectors club. Those of you who are really into this will know Dusty and his work. Hi, just a few more bits of info. Is a link to a good WDCC site. This will take you to Dusty's info and projects.
I have or have access to most all of his work, however there are a few he will not part with or they were destroyed, lost, etc. So if you see something you maybe interested in please let me know. I have added a few photos of what I have displayed right now.
